Step 2: Generic information

The first part of the onboarding starts with the customer entering their name. After entering their name, the customer gives consent to the fact that they are going to be measured. After giving consent, the generic information will follow. The customer is asked to indicate any type of injury, their height and weight, their gender and their age. After filling in this information, the customer is asked to accept the terms and conditions. When the customer accepts the terms and conditions, the Start now button will appear and become clickable to continue to the next step in the onboarding process.

Step 3: Selection of walking shoes

After clicking the start now button, you will find the first step in the onboarding process of the customer. The first step includes the selection of the walking shoes that the customer is going to walk in. There are two options: scan the label of the shoebox or select a brand from the brand matrix list.

When you scan the label of the shoebox, make sure to locate a barcode in the frame and tap scan. If the barcode is in the ARIONHUB system, the EAN number will turn orange/green with a check symbol. If the barcode is not recognized, this means that the EAN number is not found in the closet. You can always rescan the barcode if you know that the walking shoe is in the closet. If the shoe is not in the system, please read this article on how to add EAN numbers to your ARIONHUB.

When the barcode is not recognized, or you want to select only a brand, you can easily click on select from list, where you can choose different types of brands.

Note: If you want to display the specific model that the customer is trying, make sure to have the specific EAN number added to the ARIONHUB system, as scanning the barcode will display the full brand and model name whereas the select from list option will only display the brand.

Step 4: Starting the walking analysis

iPad only: There are three different types of walking analysis. Video & performance, video only and performance only.

  • Video & Performance: option to film the customer and record data through the ARION hardware.

  • Video only: option to film the customer, no ARION hardware required.

  • Performance only: option to record data through the ARION hardware.

After selecting one of the three types of walking analysis, you can easily connect your ARION pods with the ARIONHUB app. Here you can read how to connect the pods to the ARIONHUB app. Click on Start to start the walking analysis.

Once the walking analysis has started, the customer has to walk 50 steps to complete the analysis. At the top of the screen, you can see a live countdown bar which will show the progress of the customer. If you have selected a video-only walking analysis, there will be a timer at the top of the screen with a maximum filming time of 5 minutes.

If for some reason you or the customer would like to stop the session, you can always click on the delete button in the top left corner. This will automatically bring you back to step 3, selecting the walking shoes.

Step 5: Analysing the results

After the session has been completed and the 50 steps have been collected, the app will show a thumbs-up emoticon saying: Completed. The ARIONHUB app will then calculate all the measurements and open the next screen where you can view the session that has just been analysed.

If you want the customer to walk in multiple shoes, simply select the + add session button on the right and start again by scanning/selecting the walking shoes, connecting the pods, choosing the type of walking analysis, and letting the customer walk. The next session will automatically appear next to the previous session where you now can compare sessions with each other.

Note: If the customer tries to perform a walking session within a running session, or vice versa, the steps won’t be detected, and there will be no analysis shown like the example in the image below.
