This article will help you to determine why your pod is not working or why your pod is not visible in the ARIONHUB app. Please follow these steps to find out what the problem is and how to solve it.

Things to check first

  • Make sure you have the latest iOS update installed on your iPad

  • Make sure you have the latest version of the ARIONHUB app installed

  • Restart your iPad

This article contains 2 topics related to the ARION pod not working:

ARION pod not charging

Step 1) Connect the ARION pod to the charger

Note: If you don’t have any charging issues you can continue with step 6.

Connect the ARION pod to the charging unit as shown in the image below. It is advised to use a wall charger for this instead of for example plugging it into a USB slot in your computer.

If the pod is charging correctly, the LEDs show the following colours:

  • Pulsing an orange colour: The pod is currently charging

  • Pulsing in green colour: The pod is completely charged

Note: If you have an older ARION pod, if the pod is attached to the charger and is showing a pulsing green colour, this means the pod is almost completely charged. A constant green colour means the pod is completely charged.

If the pod is not charging, the LEDs are either not lighting up or show a red colour.

There can be different reasons why your pod is not charging. Please follow the steps below to find out what the problem is.

Step 2) Check the contact pins of the pod

Make sure the contact pins on the pod (and the contact points on the charger itself) are clean, and that none of the pins is stuck inside the pod (see image). If one of the pins is stuck, please take a picture of this and send it to support@ato-gear.com and we’ll advise you on what to do.

Step 3) Detach the charging cable from the charger

Connect the pod to the charger and wait for the LEDs to light up. Then, with the pod still connected to the charger, detach the cable from the charger. The LEDs should now turn red indicating that the pod is no longer charging. If they turn off immediately instead of turning red, your battery might be broken. If this is the case please send us an email at support@ato-gear.com and we’ll advise you on what to do.

Step 4) Connect the pod to an ARION insole

Take the pod off the charger and connect it to an ARION insole. The LEDs should light up and turn blue, indicating it is ready to be paired to the app. If the LEDs don’t turn on or show a red colour, please try the following step.

Step 5) Make sure the ARION pod is charged

Go back to steps 1 – 4 and double-check if there weren’t any issues while charging the pod. If you’re sure this is not the case, please contact us by sending an email to support@ato-gear.com.

ARION pod not connected to the ARIONHUB app

During the onboarding of the customer for their first running analysis, after selecting the running shoes, it is time to pair the ARION pods to the ARIONHUB app.

Step 6) Check the Bluetooth and internet connection

To pair the ARION pods with the ARIONHUB app, it is important to enabling the Bluetooth of the iPad. Besides the Bluetooth connection, it is also important to have a (strong) internet connection connected to your iPad. Make sure that both are enabled before pairing the ARION pods to the ARIONHUB app.

Step 7) Check if the ARION pods have (enough) battery

To pair the ARION pods with the ARIONHUB app, they need to be charged to be able to record a running analysis. If you want to make sure that the ARION pods are enough charged, please attach them to the ARION charger and if they pulse a green colour, they are ready to use for the next running analysis.

Step 8) Connect the ARION pods to the ARION Smart Insoles

Once you have reached the screen to pair the pods during the onboarding, make sure to connect the ARION pods to the ARION Smart Insoles. If you need help on how to connect the pods to the insoles, please read this article.

Once the pods are flashing blue, this means that the pods are successfully connected to the insoles. Once they are successfully connected to the insoles, the ARIONHUB app will detect the pods through Bluetooth. At the bottom of the screen, you can view the live connection of the ARION insoles. It shows if there is one insole connected (left or right), two insoles connect or none (scanning).

Note: The first time connecting the ARION pods to the ARIONHUB app may take a little bit longer than usual. Wait for a couple of seconds to see if the ARIOHUB app can find the connection with the pods.

Step 9) Disconnect the pods and reconnect again

If the pods are still not visible in the ARIONHUB app, try to disconnect them from the insoles, wait a couple of seconds and reconnect them again. After a couple of seconds, the pods and both feet should be visible on the screen once the live pressure map is available.

If after these steps it is still not possible to connect the pods with the ARIONHUB app, please contact us by sending an email to support@ato-gear.com and we’ll advise you on what to do.
